Evening all. I'm beginning to forget what I have not updated on the blog, but last week I shot some more products for the Christmas Heirloom Company based here in Hamilton. I also completed their calendar shots again, with help from Craig their stylist. Here's just a couple of my fav's. Steve

Janine, Brooke and Fletcher Wedding
Yesterday I had the very great privilege of photographing Janine and Brooke's wedding at Woodlands. This wedding was very special in many ways but notably for Janine to be given away by her father Ken as he is not in the best of health.
Wedding photography in my opinion is all about moments being captured in time. There is a huge difference in taking a picture and capturing a moment and this wedding imagery is right up there with some of the best weddings I have photographed. It was helped to know what was important to Janine and Brooke and the day went by beautifully. My favourite shot was this one of their dog Fletcher just watching Mum and Dad on their wedding day, just brilliant.

Jacquelyn & Gary's Wedding in Metung
Jacquelyn and Gary married in the picturesque village of Metung on the shores of the Gippsland Lakes in Victoria. About 120 guests arrived and stayed the weekend to celebrate the popular couple's big day. I stayed 2 nights in the end as Jacqui and Gary wanted me there till late. A lovely couple and a pleasure to photograph.

Quickest Wedding Booking Ever
Good afternoon everyone. We saw a couple yesterday, Janine and Brooke who are getting married next Friday at Woodlands. They originally planned to marry on Waiheke but Janine's father is not in the best of health at the moment and the wedding was rescheduled here in Hamilton where Janine's father lives. Thank you to Woodlands for the referral.
The very thing most important to most brides is to be given away by their father, and this is absolutely Janine's biggest want. It will be a memorable day we are sure and the moments will be great to capture too.
Other than that, I was ordered to have the weekend off by Julie now that our house addition is reaching its first milestone. Needless to say, the weekend (and most of today) has been DIY madness with lots of late nights.

Kodak Gold Awards 2009
Well all you one2one Blog watchers (109 visitors yesterday), particularly our brides of past, we have decided at the last minute to make some submissions to the Kodak Gold Awards 2009.
We started off with 100+ possibilities and after lots of rating of images from all our photographers around the World, wives and partners alike, we got it down to 14. We will not be able to show you the submissions until such time that the images have been judged, but this year we have put more 'posed up' images in. I know its not really what one2one does, but NZ judges like the 'perfect image', sharp, good colour and exposure so we will see how we go.
OK, I give in, here is my season favourite, but that's all you are seeing! That's a Gold winner!

Another Drive By Shooting
I kid you not, this job is like London buses sometimes, you wait for a red double-decker bus to come and then 3 arrive together! I turned up this morning to 'a location' in Hamilton to a Company that needed some commercial images of a few products. I shot the wedding for the 'man in the know' a while ago, so that helped, and then I was sworn to secrecy until the New Year. But let me tell you, these products will revolutionise what we have all done for years the hard way. I asked why the Board of Directors chose one2one and the answer was simple, we have the Copyright to the images - massively important for a job like this!
I will update you all as soon as I can.

Congratulations to Jennifer and Greg
We have just heard, Jennifer who is our wonderful wedding photographer down in Welllington gave birth on September 10th to a bouncing baby boy, weighing just 2050g. No name as yet, but the little chap obviously wanted an early entry into the World as Jen was due late October.
Congratulations

John & Jaqui's wedding 6 March 2010 Rotorua
Last week we received a referral from Sarah Thompson who Steve shot their wedding 18 months ago. It was a peak season date, 6 March 2010 and Steve was already booked. Given this was a referral from one of Steve's clients, we checked the availability of Frank who owns one2one Photography in Melbourne. Frank is actually here in NZ the week following so we extended Franks stay so he could photograph their wedding :-)

Redbrook Estate Gordonton
Morning all. This was one of the commercial jobs I did last week for Future Developments to show the aerial view of the Redbrook Estate near Gordonton. Me and heights just don't go and you cannot shoot through glass either, so its back with the door and shoot away - eeek.

Ann & Tom's Wedding
Arthur's Hotel, on Arthur's Seat in Victoria, was the location for Ann & Tom's wedding. Their day, which was booked more than a year before, was expertly planned by the bride and even though a few details changed unexpectedly and at the last minute, Ann was in control and no-one would have known.
This composite image has become one of their favorites already and looks it's best as a panoramic. The two images have had the Orton Effect applied.
Ann & Tom received another 1599 images from their wedding day. Yes that's right, only one image shy of 1600 Original images, admittedly they did have two one2one photographers on their day.
How many edited photos I hear you asking? 479.

Well I think Vegemite is an Aussie icon but I have to say I like Marmite a touch better - is Marmite a New Zealand product?
Anyway... hi from one2one in Melbourne, Australia.

Ravi & Kirk's Wedding
This afternoon I met with Ravi and Kirk, a couple I first met at the Woodlands Wedding Expo a wee while ago. It was great to see them here at the office and to talk about their wedding day at Woodlands on February 4th 2010, which will be very unique with some clever ideas - just what one2one likes! Thanks for choosing one2one Photography, we are really looking forward to being part of your day :-)
Righto, off to watch the All Blacks tonight, but before that, just got one ceiling to paint and charge the camera batteries for a food shoot tomorrow at Brooklands. Food photography is great because you get to eat what you have shot!

Portrait Shoot - Casper and his family
This morning I did a shoot for Casper and his mum and dad, Naveen and Sara. We dont get too many opportunities to work with animals but this was great. Lots of cool angles and plenty of dog licks from Casper to the photographer (Steve) lying on the floor - gotta love that! Images are all processed and ready for collection guys.

Rebekah & Graham's Wedding
Sorry for the lack of blogging, have been a tad ill of late, need a rest I think! On Wednesday I shot Rebekah and Graham's wedding in Auckland, 09/09/09. A small wedding with close friends and family and awesome images to match. Graham could just not take his eyes of his bride, keep watching the online wedding images for their full wedding images soon.

What a manic day
Wow, what a busy day. Whilst Steve's been up in Auckland photographing a wedding, I've been here at the office editing 2 portrait shoots we recently did. The emails have gone mad so it's been non-stop and have taken 3 portrait bookings today. A hectic but great day :-)

Kym & Vinnie Wedding Booking
Every now and again you come across a couple that makes this photography malarkey all worth it, enter Kym & Vinnie. We photographed them shortly after their engagement in January this year. A really good couple to work with in the studio and now they are getting married on the 10th October 2010, yeap 10/10/10, just so Vinnie finds it easier to remember their wedding anniversary - apparently!
We are very much looking forward to being part of your day guys, cheers.

Drive By Shooting
I really should not be blogging this so I will keep it brief. I was employed to be in a certain loaction at 6.30am this morning and to be gone from 'the location' by 7.30am, before the public see me. I have been sworn to secrecy by my client that I will not show my images or tell anyone what happened 'that morning' until they say its all clear, watch this blog for an update but you will all get to see what happened soon - shhhh.

First Place Fitness Club
Over the last few years we have been doing the odd photo shoot or two for First Place Fitness Club on Te Rapa. We heard this afternoon that the gym won both the NZ Fitness Centre of the Year and North Island Fitness Centre of the Year awards last week. Apparently some of our photos in the entry swayed the judges, as if! Congratulations to Tony and Ryan, and their respective wifes Renee and Wanda. The image attached was not mine by the way!

Renee & Duncan's Wedding is Live
Well here we are Renee and Duncan's wedding images. Captured a few months ago now but the wait was worth it for a good image selection by the couple. Renee was probaly one of my more organised brides last season but even the best planned wedding can often be delayed a bit by a simple North or South drive, wink, wink!
Guys, your images are in the post back to the UK, pop in and see us again in March when you come back home.

What an earth is this Twitter thing all about??
I have had my Twitter account for a while now and still I don't get it! As far as I can see, Twitter is a social network, I even heard it called tweeternet yesterday! Its apparently to track the activities of individuals but really, who has the time to update it, and who really cares?? Comments??? So there it is, final blog post for today, have to go and paint a ceiling, have some brekko, and edit a wedding tonight!!!
Steve - tweet, tweet, I ask you!
Fulton Hogan Shoot
I spent all of yesterday with Fulton Hogan Waikato. The brief was to capture as much of what Fulton Hogan does so they can begin storing high quality images in their National Database. This will be an ongoing project for the next 12 months but the biggest issue FH had was to have immediate Copyright of the photographs. We were happy to provide this of course.
