Amanda & Andrew's Wedding - Poet's Lane

Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing Amanda & Andrew's Wedding at Poet's Lane. The popular couple had a ball as did their guests - me included.

Thank you to the two families at my table who were a great laugh and made me feel so welcome.

Amanda and Andrew, I thought your inclusion of Ally on the cake and the gift of a bracelet during the ceremony were beautiful ideas.

Your photos will be delivered when you return. Enjoy the honeymoon.

Rohani & Richard's Wedding at Gracehill Winery Auckland

We had an awesome wedding day yesterday with Rohani & Richard at the beautiful Gracehill Winery, Auckland. They booked 2 one2one photographers to ensure absolutely nothing was missed during their wedding day. Charlotte accompanied me for the full 12 hours and thank you to Charlotte for all her hard work.

A big thank you to Rohani and Richard, you are 2 wonderful people and you have been a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Rohani, you are probably one of the most organised brides I have had in a while and is testament to how well your day ran - like clockwork!

Have a great honeymoon, Steve

Lisa & Jeff's Baby Georgia

Congratulations to Lisa and Jeff for the early, quick and safe arrival of cute baby Georgia. We know Lisa and Jeff as we photographed their wedding a wee while ago at Woodlands, and now we have the privilege of photographing their first born.

A nice contented sleeping baby but.......is that a Waikato Draught hat she has on?

Linda's Portrait

About a year ago Linda's Partner Paul (who I also do commercial photography for) purchased a voucher for Linda to have some photographs captured of herself. We did this yesterday and 'it wasn't so bad after all', said Linda!

Nicole & Craigs Wedding at Charlemagne Lodge Tauranga

Neither Nicole or Craig like being the centre of attention (apparently) so they planned a small Vintage Themed Wedding for their close friends and family at Charlemagne Lodge near Tauranga. one2one's style suited Nicole and Craig well acting as a pure photojournalist on their day. There were some wonderful moments too, but one I have never caught before in over 800 weddings, the groom getting the final dress approval from his wife to be, BEFORE the wedding ceremony. You will have to wait for the editing to see these, quite something and very them, good one guys.

Have a great honeymoon in Thailand, and safe journey home to Alice Springs.

Victoria & Shaun's Wedding at Yering Station

Victoria & Shaun were married in Victoria's Yarra Valley, a picturesque wine growing region less than an hours drive out of Melbourne's CBD. They have password protected their gallery.

This wedding was a joy to photograph as the venue is stunningly beautiful with excellent staff providing great service, the weather was ideal and last but certainly not least, the bride and groom are perfect hosts, a delight to be around.

I was informed Victoria deserves a lot of the credit for the wedding planning, sorry Shaun I am sure you were a great support. Both wedding coordinators at Yering Station said they'd never seen the restaurant look so beautiful and that Victoria's design was remarkable.

Oh and I nearly forgot to mention the other reason I enjoyed photographing Vic and Shaun's wedding so much, I had the privilege of photographing Shaun's brother Garreth's marriage to Emma 12 months prior and it was just lovely to catch up with them and their 'bump' on Saturday. I love the photos of them looking surprised at the reception.

So that was my Saturday. I love my job!

Cheers

Blog Update

Sorry that I have not been blogging much, have tried to have a week off work (no chance of that) to complete some of the renovations.

Off to shoot Nicole and Craig's wedding today in Tauranga, here's hoping the weather clears up for them. Having said that, they live in Alice Springs Australia, and they are quite enjoying this weather - huh!

Emergency Pregnancy Shoot

A few weeks ago Julie met with Rebecca & Cole who booked themselves in to have the final stages of her pregnancy bump photographed. Well.......last Thursday we were 'called out' as the contractions had happened early, so we loaded the studio into the car and shot it at their home.

Good luck guys, life is about the change (for the good) forever.

Wedding Photographer Needed in Auckland

one2one is in need of an experienced wedding photographer based in the Auckland region. We have some exciting developments coming over the next few months and will mean we can provide about 15-20 weddings in Auckland each season. There is also the opportunity to shoot weddings overseas in time.

The ideal candidate for one2one is someone who has some good equipment, particularly lenses, and has completed 20-30 weddings on their own. We will provide full training and extensive training with regard to the post production work.

Contact me Steve May if you are interested by following the link back to our contact us page.

Cheers
