Katie & Stu's Wedding at Tauranga

Last Saturday I had the great privilege of photographing Katie and Stu's wedding in Tauranga. Katie and Stu returned from Dubai to have their wedding here, and chose to have their bridal party images before their ceremony. We do a couple of weddings each year like this and it seems to make sense so they do not need to leave their guests.

I engineered the first moment Stu saw Katie at the end of pier G. It was a great moment captured, Stu was blown away. We then caught a motor yacht to Matakana Island where we got some great shots, very unique due to the isolated nature of the island.

Enercia one2one Photography Sponsorship

A short while ago we received an email from a Tauranga based band called Enercia enquiring about getting some photography completed for their album and also some general shots of the band.

We have been in this position before with Midnight Youth and did some freebie work for them in their early years, so after getting opinions on Enercia (mainly from my teenager sons I might add), we decided to Sponsor Enercia and do it for free.

Every year one2one completes a wedding for free and now we wanting to help Enercia. I met with the band whilst I was in Tauranga, we love the style of their music and believe we will be seeing more of them in the future. Click here to hear their current single, Broken Home.

Elise & Mark's Wedding Day at Dickens Manor, Elwood

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Elise & Mark's Wedding Day.

Their wedding ceremony was delivered with an appropriate mix of fun and seriousness and as such was enjoyed by all.

After some photography at nearby St Kilda we returned to complete some formalities - I thought the speeches were particularly outstanding so well done to all who spoke.

To Elise & Mark, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day and for feeding me - the food was delicious.

Enjoy these moments on the blog and I will upload your images later this week.

To the bridal party, I enjoyed your company a great deal and hope you have manageable hangovers today.

Congratulations to all concerned for a great day!

An image from Rebecca & Harry's Wedding in Melbourne

Last night I helped hang this spectacular image from Becky and Harry's big day in November last year.

The 1.5m x1m professionally printed and stretched canvas, commands your attention and takes you back to their day.

You'll remember Steve from one2one New Zealand flew in to capture their day and what an awesome job he did.

Steve I thought you might like to see this. Cheers.

Sanctury Homes

Today I have been whizzing all over Hamilton doing commercial work, here are a couple of 'mug shots' of Tony and John, the owners of Sanctuary Homes. They were updating their website and needed a few professional images of themselves.

More later, if I get time.

Quarry Road Wines

Last week we received an assignment request to photograph a dozen wine bottles for Quarry Road Wines. My client requested a set of stylized images for marketing and magazines and some images they could clear-cut. This type of work is quite technical with bits of white paper placed at strategic points to highlight the labels. I used two carefully positioned soft boxes with different lighting powers, a big aperture and lots of light. Canon 1Ds Mark III, ISO 50, 100/s @F22.

Thank you Blog Watchers

The one2one Blog will soon integrate into our new website and the Australian and New Zealand joint Blog will become two Blogs. We receive on average 200+ hits a day to our Blog from all around the World and its still increasing. I have been very slack at keeping the Blog up to date and I know, from emails, that we have a lot of budding photographers that watch regularly. In the future, I will provide a bit more text and perhaps some of the more technical challenges the job of professional photographer entails.

Tomorrow I have to photograph the most difficult subjects of all, 12 wine bottles.

Right O, off to bed now. Steve

Anna & Travis' Wedding at The Elms Tauranga

On Saturday I headed over to Tauranga to capture Anna and Travis' wedding at The Elms. Anna told me that as soon as I arrived at the hair salon I made her calm, but I am still not sure what I did except arrive. I met with some truly wonderful people at their wedding but the moment they both met at the ceremony was absolutely priceless, Travis' face was just the picture of joy, terror, nerves and sheer excitement all rolled into one.

We captured a few shots with the Bridal Party at The Elms and then on to Sulphur Point. The weather played ball with some of the best flat light I have shot in for sometime. I will see you both next weekend in Tauranga, enjoy Waiheke.

Porcelanosa Tiles from Italy

The week before last we had an enquiry from Porcelanosa Tiles in Italy, wow the power of the NET! They supplied the tiles for Ingham Mercedes here in Hamilton and they wanted some images for their International Brochures, we completed the shoot on Friday. For those of you that know me, I have had 11 Audi's at the last count, so for me to go into a Mercedes dealership was quite traumatic, hehe.

Ciao Steve

Endace Technology

Last week I photographed 'a box of tricks' for Endace Technologies. I have done many jobs for Endace but this box was being photographed for the archives and for Worldwide marketing material. This is the only image I was permitted to Blog, the inside images were all Copyrighted to Endace.
