Penelope's Christening at the Balwyn Greek Church

Penelope's Christening took place last Sunday at the Greek Church in Balwyn.

The star of the day was in great spirits and we all wondered if she was going to enjoy the critical bit: when the man with the beard dunks her in the oily water.

Ah ah. Not this time.

Never you mind Penelope, most little kids voice their disapproval at that part too.

So here are quite a few moments from Penelope's Christening for the proud parents Mary & Michael and Godparents to enjoy.

Tech note: 16-35mm lens got a good workout during this event. All ceremony pics captured with available light. Other lenses used 85mm f1.2 and 24-70 f2.8. ISO 800. Camera - Canon 1Ds Mk3.

Wedding Photojournalist Association

Annie & Chris's wedding in Devonport, New Zealand.

No weddings this weekend so looking forward to the time with family and friends. My great friend Tony is coming by to teach me his beer making skills again.

Now onto photography. I have always thought when the right association came to my attention, one that believed like me and every one2one photographer, that wedding photojournalism should be the mainstream - not the new fashion, I would apply to join. So I have applied and have been accepted to the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA).

For those interested the WPJA website has a lot of useful information.

I look forward to any comments about the WPJA.

Amanda and Jonathon see you soon. Your big day at Butleigh is just around the corner.

Michelle & Jimmy's Wedding Day at Montsalvat & Ivanhoe Centre

Michelle & Jimmy's Wedding Day took place Saturday. What a day! Perfect autumn weather and lots of enthusiasm from guests both local, interstate and overseas based - well done to the travellers you were a hoot and thank you too to Cveta (Matron of Honour) and Fausto (Best Man).

No peacock visit during their ceremony at Montsalvat although a peacock theme was a clever aspect of their wedding as was the English inspired modes of transportation.

Some shots around Montsalvat before a visit to Brunetti in Carlton and some photos around Lygon St - even a guard of honour from gypsies and a seat on a Harley Davidson. Love the shot of the gorgeous couple in front of the London Cab.

Then a ride back to the Ivanhoe Centre before the dancing and speeches.

Thank you so much for holding me to my promise Jim and Michellie. Enjoy the honeymoon and think of me occasionally as I attempt to sift through well over 1500 images.

Here are quite a few to reminisce.
